These are so delicious! Get creative and dress them up with all your favorite toppings.
General Ingredients
1–2 heads cauliflower
1 cup panko
1 cup buffalo hot sauce
Burger buns of choice
Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, sprouts, etc.)
Batter Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 ½ tablespoons Creole seasoning
1–2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
¾–1 cup milk
1 cup water
Instructions
Prepare the batter – Combine all batter ingredients and set aside.
Set up coating station – Place panko crumbs in a shallow bowl.
Prep the cauliflower:
Remove green leaves, but leave the stem intact (or the entire head will fall apart).
Cut cauliflower into 1-inch steaks.
Coat the cauliflower:
Dip all cauliflower pieces in the batter.
Coat with panko.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake – Bake in a 400°F oven for 20 minutes on each side.
Sauce it up – Remove from oven and dip the baked cauliflower in buffalo sauce.
Assemble and enjoy – Dress it up with your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, red onion, and avocado) and serve on a tasted bun!
