Starve Cancer With Your Fork: The Power of Antiangiogenic Foods 🍓🥦🍷
Many years ago, I watched Dr. William Li on The Dr. Oz Show, explaining how he was preventing and even reversing cancer with food. My reaction? Fascinating! Tell me more...
The Science: How Tumors Grow (And How to Stop Them!)
Dr. Li introduced a game-changing concept: angiogenesis—the process by which tumors form new blood vessels to fuel their growth.
🔬 Why does this matter? Because cutting off a tumor’s blood supply can stop it in its tracks. In fact, modern medicine already uses FDA-approved antiangiogenic drugs to do just that.
But here’s where it gets even better... Certain foods can naturally block angiogenesis, preventing tumors from getting the blood they need to grow. That means you can fight cancer right from your plate! 🍽️💪

The Research Backs It Up 📊🔎
A growing body of research suggests that anti-angiogenic foods, such as broccoli, berries, tomatoes, green tea, and turmeric, may help prevent cancer by starving tumors of the blood supply they need to grow. Studies have shown significant reductions in specific cancer risks (up to 50% or more in certain populations). For example, a study published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention found that high intake of cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and cabbage was associated with a 50% reduction in cancers of the upper digestive tract. And a study published in the International Journal of Cancer found that women who regularly consumed mushrooms and green tea had up to an 89% reduced risk of breast cancer compared to those who consumed neither.
